June was a bit of a weird month. The weather has been crap. We had a couple sunny days here and there, but mostly it's been rainy or, at least, dark and dreary. The kind of weather that saps my energy and makes me want to curl up into a little ball. I feel like I'm being cheated out of summer and I'm not at all happy about it.

My garden is still not planted. I've been picking away at it whenever we had decent weather and I could manage to find the time. It feels like it has been a busy month.

My fun news is that I got a new camera – a Canon Rebel T3i. I've always enjoyed photography, but I've always had point and shoot cameras. I've really enjoyed my Canon point and shoot, which was my first digital camera, but there is only so much you can do with a point and shoot and I'm at the point where I want to be able to do more. Still working on learning, and experimenting with the new camera, whenever I can find the time.

Here are a couple of recent favourites taken with the new camera.

Our weather hasn't been great here, either. I agree with you that it feels like we are being cheated out of summer!
The ONLY good things about all the rain we've had is that our pasture is green (unlike last year, when it crunched when we walked on it!)and the lettuce actually grew in my garden for the first time in 3 years. Sadly, the excess moisture has set everything else back. But it didn't drown the grasshoppers, which are moving in to the yard now. Sigh.

Hope your weather improves soon so you can enjoy at least some of the summer!

It's true, everything is so green and my flower gardens are looking nice. It's just been so frustrating to try and get the veggie garden in and I'm not sure how well it will do. Been trying to make the most of the sunny weather when we get it, but it sure seems like we haven't had much.

Yay for new cameras! Your kitty is so cute! And your workouts look pretty good from here - I think you did great!

Thanks Charlotte, that is kind of you to say. I guess I am seeing the fact that if I take out the gardening sessions I did almost nothing...But gardening is hard work, so it should totally count, right?
