I have never worked my way so methodically through a cookbook. Anyway, we tried another new recipe today - Curious Chicken Chili. It had an interesting mix of ingredients, so we thought it should be good. Alas, we found it a bit bland...just seemed like it was missing something. Ah well, they can't all be winners, right?
The unfortunate result is that I was left wanting something more to eat. I knew that I'd had enough calories, but my taste buds were not satisfied. I tried eating 2 Peek Freans LifeStyle Lemon Crisp cookies, but they aren't exactly bursting with flavor either.
I ended up eating an entire bag of Crispy Minis.
This is something that I know about myself - I'm one of those 'Live to Eat' people, rather than an 'Eat to Live' type. I try to manage it by making sure I keep my taste buds happy with healthy meals. But some days that doesn't work out and obviously I need to work on my response to that.
Still, I feel like I've been doing not too bad overall and I guess I could have done worse than eating a bag of Crispy Minis.
