In the comments on my last post, MizFit asked me to define "warming up". So I went and checked the "Last 24 Hours" on the Environment Canada weather page. Overnight it warmed up to 4C (around 4 am this morning). By 8 am this morning, the temperature was back down to -8C. When we went out to the garage this morning and Husband hit the button to open the garage door there was this loud cracking sound that was the garage door breaking free of the ice - it had been frozen to the ground. Never a dull moment, I tell ya.
So - summing up the weather - at the beginning of the week, we were in the -20s. Ever so briefly last night, the temperature rose above 0. Then in went back down, though thankfully not back to the -20s....Not yet anyway.
Everything was a mess this morning of course - roads, sidewalks. I am so looking forward to spring, can't wait for all this ice to melt so it's safe to walk on the sidewalks again.
In other news...The yoga trend is continuing and I have added a little treadmill action in there. Seem to be finding my cold-weather-groove.
Also, I want to go home and play Rock Band on the Wii. Never thought I'd hear myself saying I want to go play a computer game, but it's been a while since I've done any Rock-Band-ing and I'm kinda missing it. I feel like picking up the mic and singing along with a few tunes. Not that I sing well or anything, but I have fun doing it. I like dancing around to the music while singing along...As well as I can dance while squinting at the screen trying to read the lyrics. Got that mental image? Fantastic. My work here is done.

We were supposed to pick up a friend at the airport here today.
He called this morning to tell us that he wouldn't be coming until tomorrow (maybe) because he is grounded at the airport in Moncton.
The plane he was supposed to fly out on couldn't land and was diverted back to Toronto!
Bag Lady - that would be no fun. Not sure about Moncton, but the forecast for tonight/tomorrow in Saint John is not looking too bad, so hopefully your friend will get his flight soon.
I always get the chills when my parents remind me of how cold it is up in MN and they get excited when the temps above 0. Some days I miss it. Other days I really enjoy being in FL.
Singing is the best part of Rockband!
Crystal - I honestly don't know if I would miss winter if I were to move somewhere warm. Mostly I think not, but I guess you never know.
Tony - Most of my friends don't want to sing, so when we get together and play I'm usually the singer. It is fun!
Good for you with the YOGA! Yay! I do a ton of yoga - because I teach. I need to get more cardio on, though. And, this weather is CRAZY.
Ooh I do enjoy the rock band!
