On Monday I wasn't quite sure what to do for a warm up, so I just did my own thing. Today I decided to try the moves from this TV segment featuring Ellen Barrett. I have quite a few of Ellen Barrett's workout DVDs - 10 to be exact - and I always enjoy her workouts. When I saw this posted on her blog I meant to try it out; today it seemed like just what I needed as a warm up before taking on the Boot Camp.
Workout B of the Boot Camp Intro kicked my butt way more than Workout A. I'm not sure if it's because I did a better warm up or if the exercises were harder. The split squats and wall jumps were the most challenging for me, but the whole thing kept my heart rate up and I'm sure my face was bright red by the time I was done - I could feel the heat radiating off my skin. I guess the aim is to get in a kick-butt workout in a short amount of time and I'd have to say: mission accomplished.
The great thing about a boot camp/circuit training work out is that it goes by fast. I didn't enjoy the split squats, but they were over quickly and I was moving on to the next exercise. Definitely makes it easier to keep going.
Last night we were out to dinner with friends for the evening, and today by the time I finished my Boot Camp, had supper, cleaned up, etc, it was getting too late to go out and
So far the weather forecast for the weekend is looking beautiful and we don't have any major plans. I think my tomato plants may just make it into the ground this weekend!

Mission accomplished, hurray! It's great when the time seems to fly by in a workout.
The pain only lasts a few seconds - that's my fave part of bootcamp! I just keep repeating to myself "I can do anything for 30 seconds!" Glad you liked it!
Sagan - I've been surprised at how quick it seems to fly by!
Charlotte - So far so good! Of course it's only going to get harder... ;)
you had me at FAST.
Miz, who just might nag angie to let her try as well but is still hedging her bets :)
Good for you!
Enjoy your lovely weekend. Ours is a little on the cool and cloudy side. I may never get my tomatoes in the ground.... sigh.
Sounds like an energic workout! May have to check it out...I need new workouts!
