I love fresh vegetables from the garden. I wish my parents would send me some fresh stuff from home. Of course, by the time it got here, it wouldn't be so fresh anymore.
crystal - I know the feeling! My parents always planted a large garden, and my Mom would preserve, freeze and can all kinds of good stuff. Didn't realize how lucky I was until I moved away and had to start buying produce at the grocery stores - it's just not the same!
wow, those are some great looking peas! i think we're going to add more to our garden next year (and make it bigger for sure)... would love lettuce, onions, beans, peas, etc. - would love to make a complete salad from my own backyard... :o)
The peas in my yard are finally filling, and taste fabulous! We have had less than 2 inches of rain since May, so I've had to water the garden with well-water, which isn't so good for it, but better than nothing!
Oh, and Jodi? Just a little bragging here - my favourite thing in the whole wide world is making an entire meal from what we have grown - beef from our cows, potatoes and veggies from the garden, etc. Knowing exactly where all the food on your plate came from is a wonderful feeling!

Wow, that is even smaller than the picture portrayed, but nonetheless, it is perfect!!
Glad you enjoyed it and the peas!
I want you to be prepared for the next major holiday... almost here...
yes, yes, in a little more than a week it will be...
Sneak your zucchini on your neighbor's porch day!
I'm not kidding; this is apparently a well-known holiday. (Well-known on the Internet at least.)
Very fabulous felines! I see they "help" you garden!
