I need a winter hobby...

What am I going to blog about now that the gardening season is pretty much over? I'm not sure I want to go back to full time weight loss blogging...I need a winter hobby.

Still sore today but definitely better. I did a slow walk on the treadmill, but that was all I had in me.

And that's about all I have to say because I'm tired today. Sorry folks!

Since I have been back and reading your blog again I have been sad that I was not able to get a garden planted this past summer. So you have actually had me thinking about growing fall/winter garden items! Can you do that where you live???

Hmmm - winter hobby, eh? Skiing, snowshoeing, ice-skating?

Knitting, crocheting, embroidery?
Scrap-booking? Drawing?

Training your cats? :)

Not much help, am I?

I've tried repeatedly to no avail.

Laura - unless you know of something that can grow under a foot of snow, I'd say winter gardening is a no-go.

Bag Lady - LOL at training my cats...That would be quite something!

MizFit - I was actually teaching myself to knit a couple winters ago. I may have to give it another try.

Training cats? HAHAHAHA! Let me know how that goes for ya! :-)

I also vote for knitting - may try that myself. It seems to be a popular thing around here, there are knitting clubs you can join. And I am sure the cats won't want to play with the yard AT ALL!

Missicat - My cats have me well trained, not sure we can turn things around now. But yes, they would enjoy the yarn should I decide to give knitting another try... :)

Knitting, crocheting... which reminds me I have a couple of crochet blankets to finish. ;P I did knit my one dog a Denver Broncos sweater once... I was actually surprised on how well it turned out!

You'll think of something. :)

Love the cat training option LOL But you could always decide to paint your house one room at a time :) Then at least your getting some movement through your winter hobby as well as your summer hobby. You could also do snow sculpture :)

Indoorsy gardening?

:)

I'm looking forward to ice skating this winter! Cross country skiing is great fun too. I really want to take one winter where I spend all my time reading the classics... but that could be a bit of a challenge:)

Sewing is a good time too.

is there something you can grow indoors? Herbs? Pot? (just kidding!) How about knitting - don't mean to sound lame but you can still create something, like with your gardening, plus it's great for blood pressure. At least that is what I'm telling myself as I attempt to sew a Halloween costume from scratch for my new baby niece!

(Oh, PS I just saw Mizfit suggested knitting. Great minds must think alike ;-)

Knitting seems to be a popular suggestion! Perhaps that is the way to go...
