Remember this?
Now that the cooler weather is here, I prefer a warm breakfast. So I have coconut-creamed my oatmeal:
1 serving of oatmeal made with:
1/3 cup large flake rolled oats
1/3 cup milk + water to equal 3/4 cup liquid
Cook oatmeal. When oatmeal is cooked add:
1 tbsp coconut
1 tbsp maple syrup
splash of vanilla
Cover and let stand for a few minutes.
Sorry no photos of this one, and honestly it doesn't look like much...But if there was some way to share the smell with you I would because it's amazing.
I've actually been making it at night and putting it in the fridge so I can just heat it up in the morning. Almost makes me look forward to crawling out of bed in the morning. Almost.
I have also been eating a lot of apples. As with most fruit, I only like them when they are in season so I'm getting my fill now. I'm seeing pomegranates around too; I adore pomegranates and I imagine it won't be long until a pomegranate or two makes it's way into my grocery cart.
That's right. I'm going to keep eating fruit and ignoring the box of giant chocolate bars that was dropped off in our office for some sort of charitable fund raising. Not that I don't want to be charitable. I just prefer to do it without making myself fat.

That's funny cuz I was dreaming about oatmeal all day yesterday. I couldn't wait to get home last night so I could have a heaping bowl full of the yummy goodness. It's such a good meal in the cooler temps, isn't it.
Apples rock, too!
I too love warm cereal when the weather gets cooler. love my otmeal.
LOVE apples. Don't like coconut but that still sounds so good! Mmmm warm food.
That sounds really good...have to try it (but without the coconut, not my fave food). Unfortunately it's about 70 degrees here today so still a bit warm for it.
I keep meaning to try coconut in oatmeal. Sounds yummy!
What's with the coconut haters? U people iz ca-razee!!! ;)
I like oatmeal too, and I can eat it plain with milk...But adding the coconut, maple syrup and vanilla just takes it to a whole new level.
Wow!! Coconut oatmeal! It sounds supreme. Did you think it up all by yourself? Usually I just put butter and salt on mine, because I don't like sugar and milk on it, but hey, coconut and maple syrup--I bet I would like that!
I am sure I could smell that from here and it sounds absolutely delish!!!
btw - your pics of your halloween cupcakes and mice looked really good! I told you it would turn out. ;)
As for the peanut butter cups... you had your chocolate. Glad it got out of your system. We all deserve *breaks* now and again. ;) Happy you enjoyed them!
Well yes, another month has come and gone. No progress? I am sure that in some ways you have some... not maybe in the wt loss area, but about yourself.
Keep on going strong!! :)
