I slept in this morning. Kept half-waking up and thinking I should get up…then I would fall back to sleep. I think it was around 9:20 when I finally got up. I stumbled out to the kitchen to start coffee and a pot of oatmeal.
Once that was ready I made my way to the couch, where I plopped down for the morning.
Large Flake Rolled Oats made with half water/half Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Breeze and Blueberries. Served with a little Agave Nector, Almond Butter and a bit more Almond Breeze.
There was a second cup of coffee while I enjoyed my book. If you like Castle, this book is a lot of fun. It reads very much like an episode of the show and I just get a huge kick out of the fact that the book is put together as if Richard Castle is a real person. I’m enjoying it.
Eventually I decided it was time to get up off my butt and start the day. I finished up my grocery list and got ready to do some shopping. Of course, as I’m just about ready Frank lets me know that he’d like a walk. Since it is a nice day, I comply.
It was pretty windy. So much for my hair.
Frank had a pretty good time though and we covered a fair bit of ground.
We saw some birds.
On the way back we also saw deer, but I was carrying Frank at that point and I figured by the time I put him down and got out the camera they’d be gone.
When we got back, Zappa figured he should get a walk too. His was short though, because he just doesn’t seem to want to go anywhere.
Then I grabbed a quick smoothie…
And I was out the door. Somewhat later than I had planned on.
I had some running around to do, including a stop at Canadian Tire. And when I walked out the exit, what do I see but cute little girls selling Girl Guide cookies. There are often kids there doing fund raising, and I will always make a donation for an apple from a Boy Scout or a raffle ticket for the Cheerleading team, so I wasn’t about to say no to the girl guides. The cookies are in the cupboard, unopened, and I’m going to try and forget they are there.
By the time I got home it was around 4:00. Husband helped me put away the groceries and asked what I was planning for supper. I was thinking a stir fry with Shrimp.
First Husband didn’t say anything. Then a few minutes later he said he had been thinking we’d go out. Long story short, we ended up at Montana’s and I was starving.
Crantini (I usually like them at Montana’s, but this one was not so great). Also, the waitress spilled it all over the place when she brought it too the table. Good thing they have paper on their tables.
See Husband’s Walt Disney World shirt? I bought him that when we were at Disney in 2003 – right around this time of year.
Pasadena Burger (burger with diced tomato, bacon and Guacamole), with fries. Husband is always so pleased when I order something other than Chicken or Vegetarian. He seems to think I don’t eat enough red meat.
I only ate about half the fries. I did eat the whole burger. And was not full. Very unusual, but then I didn’t have lunch either. So dessert! I forget exactly what it was called, but it’s cheesecake wrapped in a tortilla and deep fried. It was actually pretty good.
And the Montana’s lollipop in the car on the way home.
Now I am home catching up on blogging and drinking lots of water. Did not get my cardio in today (aside from the walk with Frank), so I’ll try to get it in tomorrow.
Now I think I’ll go spend a little more time with Richard Castle.

Mmmmm cheesecake mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Your cats look pretty content!
I like going out to restaurants randomly.
Yum. PAsadena burger??? That sounds fantastic!
I love your curly hair. You have big curls. Mine are really tight. You always want what you don't have....right?!
Sagan - I love cheesecake, hardly ever have it because Husband doesn't like it and we usually share dessert if we're having it at restaurants because I'm normally too full to eat a full dessert. And yes, my cats are generally pretty content...and spoiled!
RD - I don't often order burgers at restaurants, but put guacamole on it and I'm there.
Ha, I'm so going to get that Castle book. I had no idea it existed! :)
Guac makes anything good. nom nom nom.
Jaime - Heat Wave was a fun read. If you like the show, you'll like the book. :)
