Who knew?

It's not that I dislike exercise. A lot of the time I'd actually say I enjoy it. What I don't enjoy is trying to fit it into my day. I work 9-5, so that means exercise needs to happen early in the morning or after work. I tried early morning, that didn't work for me. So it has to happen after work. I do it, but sometimes it feels like too much after working all day. Sometimes I think I just want to be able to go home and relax. Watch some TV. Read a book.

Since I was not feeling well on Tuesday, I took the evening off. Yesterday, still not feeling great, I took the evening off. And I was sitting there on the couch last night, watching TV, and I thought: I'm bored with this. I need a walk on the treadmill.

It was getting late by the time that occurred to me last night, and I thought I probably should take another day off anyway. But tonight I did walk on the treadmill. I did 45 minutes, though walking slower than usual. It felt like hard work, guess that means I'm not completely back to normal yet, but I think the walking made me feel a little better.

I think the trick is to give myself an evening off now and then, but overall the evening exercise thing is not so bad.

Actually, I'm quite impressed with your dedication to working out. An occasional evening off is not a bad thing!
Hope you are feeling better now!

Good for you! I agree, taking off now and again is a good thing. I have found that I am now just plain used to exercising so it seems a little strange not to do it about 5 days a week (which is not to say I don't take a break when I need to - I do!!)

That's a good idea to figure out what works best for you. I took an unplanned rest day the other day and I felt so good today!

I had one of those days this week where I had firmly decided to skip my workout and was lounging on the couch when I thought "This is stupid, just get up and do it" and I did. But last night I really didn't want to and didn't. Just means I need to get one in tonight :)
